Sophie visited The Private Hill with her seven year old daughter, a friend and her daughter. The party booked two domes and had two fun filled days and nights.

Here is what Sophie said:

“On arrival we got such a lovely welcome – it was the best start to a holiday to enter Jane’s Dome and be treated to a glass of fizz for the adult’s and lovely slice of cake for the girls.

“Once we were fully relaxed, we were given a tour of our dome and shown how everything worked. I was so impressed by how spacious they were. The furniture is lovely, the space very well thought out, great touches like high end toiletries and kitchen extras, and of course, the amazing view.

“On the first night we lit the fire pit on one of our decks and enjoyed a relaxed BBQ, sitting comfortably in the provided camping chairs. We enjoyed another glass of fizz soaking in the views and really letting go of every day stresses.

“The next morning we wolfed down a tasty breakfast provided by Roddy and Jane, and set off to an amazing day at Flamingo Land. The Private Hill is a short drive from the theme park and also close to York so there is lots for families to do.

“For our second night we prepared ready meals we purchased from Jane’s Dome in the Miele microwave that comes in each dome and as the weather wasn’t as good, we cosied up at the table in one of the domes. We played board games with the log burner crackling away and the curtains open watching the sun set. A memorable night all round.

“The next morning we set off home feeling relaxed and happy and vowing to return very soon! I cant recommend this place enough, and I know it will be very popular from 4th July onwards!!”
